Pump track proposal
Friends of Longford Park are renewing their efforts to bring a pump track to the Park. A specialist firm has advised on the likely cost, and the focus now is on trying to identify likely sources of funding. Dog damage to zip wire seats
The zip line seats in the older children’s playground have had to be replaced twice in four months, at a cost of £170 each time. This cannot go on indefinitely before Amey decides they are not going to keep replacing them. The damage is caused by people allowing their dogs to chew the seats, which is selfish and irresponsible. Brand New Tree Trail!
Friends of Longford Park (FOLP) are pleased to announce that their new tree trail is now up and running.

REDUCED MOWING TRIAL to increase biodiversity in the park.
Grass mowing in a section of the grassed area between the eastern boundary of the Disc Golf Course and Ryebank Fields is to be limited to one cut a year.

Tree Planting – Volunteers Needed
SAT 21st March – We’re reaching out to anybody that could help us plant a batch of 400 new tree saplings that has just arrived. Manchester Disc Golf are asking that if anyone could spare even an hour or two, to drop down to the course to assist.
