Sign up is open for our fun, charity tournament – Manchester Disc Golf Ice Bowl 2025. We join a global network of Ice Bowl tournaments that raise cash for their local homeless charities.

FOLP are once again taking part in the St Matthews Christmas Tree Festival.
Festival Opening times are as follows
Christmas Tree Festival in St Matthew’s Church Stretford on Friday 13th (3-8pm), Saturday 14th (10am-6pm) and Sunday 15th (12noon-4pm) December.
Well worth a look at all the brilliant trees.

Tree Amigos are back!
Tree Amigos are selling trees from Monday 25th November.
Health Walk and Litter pick cancelled for Sunday 24th November
Both events have been cancelled this month due to the adverse weather conditions. Many of the paths in the park are already flooded.
Tiny Library
Longford park now has a tiny library fixed to the wall of Firswood Community Centre. Feel free to put any children’s or adults’ books in if you have any.

Tennis Improvement Project
Work is due to start on a scheme to update and improve a number of tennis courts across Trafford.
A total of eight courts will be refurbished as part of Trafford Council’s Pilot Park Tennis Investment and Sustainability programme.
The first two courts to benefit are Longford Park, Stretford, and Ashton Park, Sale. Work is due to start on the two-month long rebuild of Longford Park court on April 29, 2024, and at the Ashton Park court on May 7.
