Longford and Firswood Strollers Monthly Walks
The photo shows the Longford and Firswood Strollers Heath Walk Group in the Longford Bowling Club Shelter 31st May 2023.
The group meets at the Edge lane Gate at 10.30 am on the last Sunday of each month and walks the Yellow Route One Mile Walk

Trafford Council is looking to submit a multi million pound bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund 23 February, the outcome of which should be known in June.

On Monday 23 January, MMU’s chosen developers for the Ryebank Fields site launched a public consultation on their proposals, with just 5 days notice of the first of two meetings, with the whole consultation ending Friday 10 February.

Friends Group Walk a Mile a Day to Celebrate The Longford Way

On Sunday 31st July a health walk was held to celebrate the installation of three new way marked one mile walk routes in the park. The three circular routes start from Walking and Friendship Trail signs located near to the Edge Lane, Firswood and Ryebank Road park entrances. The initiative, partly funded by a grant from Trafford Council’s Inclusive Neighbourhood Fund is aimed at making the park more accessible to all sections of society and encouraging people to walk at least a mile a day in green surroundings.
