Trafford Council has recently approved plans to improve parks tennis courts in Trafford, subject to funding from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). Trafford Council is looking to submit a multi million pound bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund 23 February, the outcome of which should be known in June.
On Monday 23 January, MMU’s chosen developers for the Ryebank Fields site launched a public consultation on their proposals, with just 5 days notice of the first of two meetings, with the whole consultation ending Friday 10 February.
The awards were given by the RHS Northwest in Bloom Scheme and recognise all the hard work put into making the Park and the Community Allotment places for the community to enjoy. Special thanks to all the volunteers who work hard to make this happen.

On Sunday 31st July a health walk was held to celebrate the installation of three new way marked one mile walk routes in the park. The three circular routes start from Walking and Friendship Trail signs located near to the Edge Lane, Firswood and Ryebank Road park entrances. The initiative, partly funded by a grant from Trafford Council’s Inclusive Neighbourhood Fund is aimed at making the park more accessible to all sections of society and encouraging people to walk at least a mile a day in green surroundings.
