The Friends of Longford Park (FOLP) strongly oppose housing on Ryebank Fields, a key issue being the visual impact on the Conservation Area. The original Heritage Statement said the housing was no more than 2 storeys high. FOLP pointed out that 96 of the 120 units would be in 3 storey buildings. The revised statement still maintained “that the character and appearance of the Conservation Area is not considered to be impacted.” FOLP then funded and submitted the following visualisations of that impact in spring, along with an image of the area showing how much barer the boundary is in winter.
