Guidance for supporters from Friends of Ryebank Fields after speaking to our Planning Consultant:
– Initial demographic questions – you may wish to select “Prefer not to say” as the developers will attempt to use this information to characterise responses in a certain way.
– Multiple choice questions: if you support the campaign to save the fields, “Strongly disagree” is likely to reflect your views. We suggest you don’t leave blank as this can be interpreted as neutral / unsure.

We advise not to feed back on any details of the plans; if you oppose building on the fields under any circumstances this is the most important thing to state.
If you want to explain why you could mention:
– RF is GREENFIELD not Brownfield – there are nearby Brownfield sites that can provide housing
– RF is an irreplaceable rewilded ecosystem that has been maturing for decades
– RF is already home to thriving wildlife and the UK is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world
– RF is a carbon sink and helps address local air pollution and flooding
– Importance of local wild spaces that can be accessed without a car for mental and physical health
– RF is a much loved and well used community resource that can’t be replaced

*It’s really important that everyone who supports our campaign to save the fields fills in the consultation to oppose the developers’ plans – please share this message with family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, street WhatsApps and other networks.*
