Friends of Longford Park have been pressing Trafford Council for some time on reopening the tennis courts in the Park, which closed at the end of April. The work was originally scheduled to take two months but various delays – including the decision to replace the fencing on three sides, after the resurfacing has been done – mean that the courts are unlikely to reopen before 30 September at the earliest.
