2016 - Family Open Days

2016 Open Days
Join us at our family friendly Open Days on the first Saturday of every month from 11am to 5pm.

Saturday 2nd July 11am - 5pm
Saturday 6th August 11am - 5pm
On these days we provide discs, scorecards and teach you the basics of how to play the game - it’s FREE and you don’t need any equipment or experience (though if it has been raining we advise wearing wellies or boots!)

Club Meets
Our friendly club meets twice a week to play a couple of social rounds. At these times we can provide you with free loan discs so you can try out disc golf too!

School and Club Sessions
We’ll be announcing details of our special school and club open days soon. If you’re a school, youth club or adult club and would like a FREE introductory session please email us!

Thanks to everyone who worked on the bid and voted for the Longford Park Disc Golf bid! Much appreciated.

Friends of Longford Park are applying for funding for equipment to develop a free to use family friendly Disc Golf course on the site of the disused pitch-and-putt golf course…. but we need your votes!

You would need to be there before 2.30pm to register and then you will be given an opportunity to vote.

More about Longford Park Disc Golf Proposal:

Disc Golf is an emerging sport playable by all ages that currently has no full size course in the North West.
Trafford Council,The Friends of Longford Park and Ultimate Frisbee for Amateurs Group(Duffa) are working together to develop the first Disc Golf Course in the North West.
The nature of the game gets individuals out walking in a natural environment participating in a low impact sport that can be enjoyed at all times of the year by a wide range of ages
Disc Golf users will be able to co-exist with other Longford Park users without the need for exclusive use of the Pitch and Putt course.
